Huntington Community Band

Founded in 1946, the Huntington Community Band is one of Long Island’s longest-running community music organizations, created to bring high-quality concert band music to the community while providing a musical home for performers of all backgrounds. The multigenerational ensemble continues to present free public performances and preserve the tradition of American band music as a cultural cornerstone of the Huntington arts community. Under the direction of Vickie Henson, the band remains committed to artistic excellence, community engagement, and expanding access to live music.
